Happy Snapping

Why not create a Gallery to go with your blogs?

Starting in photography - at whatever age - as camera prices become even cheaper, with a digital camera you can let your interests and enthusiasms lead you where they will.

Digital photography gives us a new ease of working, we can see results immediately and take as many pictures as we like without worrying about cost of developing and printing.

Your own life, and that of your friends is the easiest and the best starting point for your work. Start by photographing anything and everything around you. It is here you can develop the confidence and the personal skills needed to be a photographer. For many this has been the springboard to greater things

Start working on other photographic projects. A visit to your local library can suggest a number of books published with suggestions for photographic projects, some quite useful, but do you don't really need these? You can come up with your own ideas by looking through your own long forgotten picture albums and thinking how you can take them further.

As an example of a project you could upload snaps from around your house and garden and follow with a relevant blog and upload pix of items from your favourite collecting hobby such as Military Badges or Stamps.

Other photographers and local camera clubs are also a great source of ideas and inspiration. The internet is also an invaluable help for virtually any question on photography, and better still, by actually finding others who share your interests.
